HW 3/12

Based on a novel called “The Clansman” which was written by Thomas Dixon.
Focuses on two families that live in the south and north after civil war and during reconstruction era.
The KKK were portrayed as hero’s and African American men as unintelligent and sexually aggressive towards white women.
The boys from both families went in the war and died.
Character named Gus accidentally murders one of the families daughters and gets killed by the KKK.
1st part of film focused on Civil war and the second focused on Reconstruction which is where all the action happened.
